GMC has revolutionized the concept of direct printing on plastic containers, such as paint and varnish buckets, for food products such as sauces, ice creams, oils, and preserves using its DHDT (Direct Heat Digital Transfer) printing systems. It produces high-resolution, multicolored, photo-quality prints, including text with micro-fonts in any language, as well as pictograms, barcodes, and QR codes in the desired size and color. It uses solvent- and chemical-free, four-color process (C-M-Y-K) thermoplastic dry inks, which needn't for UV-cure nor for chemical catalysts, making the container recyclable.
DIGITRON printers, designed for flatbed printing, allow for extremely precise prints and maximize print width on the object "all around." Since they have no printheads, they do not require pre-cleaning or plates, but allow the graphic file residing in their memory to be printed.
The latest generation APPLITRONs are equipped with servo-assisted adjustments that allow for quick and easy format changes by selecting the format recipe.
